 Netherwent & Llanvaches WI

Netherwent & Llanvaches WI meet in Llanvaches Village Hall on the second Tuesday of each month at 7.30 pm.

Come along and join us. Bring a friend or, neighbour or, visit us on your own - you will be made most welcome. Make new friends and meet your neighbours. Tea/Coffee and biscuits are served and we also have a raffle at each meeting.

Last year our WI visited The Mall, Cribbs Causeway and had a very information talk about the history of the Shopping Centre. We played indoor bowls, visited Stella Claws Gardens, Sedbury, Chepstow and on a beautiful summer’s day we had a wonderful ‘garden party’ at one of our WI member’s homes. We also enjoyed a meal out at a local pub and during the year we had lots of very interesting visiting speakers.

Netherwent & Llanvaches WI belong to the Severn Group of WI’s (four other WI’s in our area) and we often have invitations from them to attend their Celebrations and Day Trips. We also invite members from the Severn Group to our WI.

Denman is the WI’s College in Oxfordshire. Nestled in the lush green Oxfordshire countryside. Denman is the perfect place to relax and unwind on a day or, residential course in cookery, craft or, lifestyle. There is even a WI competition to win a ‘Denman Experience’ which is a two-night course at Denman.

Netherwent & Llanvaches WI has an exciting new Programme for 2017. Every member receives: The WI ‘Gwent News,’ the Women’s Institute Membership Booklet with a membership card and The WI Life Magazine.

The WI membership fee is £39 per year.

So come along and make new friends and meet your neighbours. We would love to see you at Netherwent & Llanvaches WI.
